Additional Notes
Yin can be a more meditative and introspective practice, and the poses are typically more passive, with the intention being to release tension in the deeper connective tissues of the body, such as the fascia and ligaments. The practice of yin yoga is known to improve flexibility and balance, as well as promoting relaxation and stress reduction. It is a suitable practice for all levels and is often used as a complement to more active and dynamic styles of yoga, such as vinyasa or ashtanga.
